Matt Kirkby

Born and raised in small-town Ontario, Matt Kirkby is a romantic dreamer who specializes in writing tales of high fantasy and pulp-style science fiction and space operas. He draws his inspiration from all diverse sources and ideas, looking for new takes on classic ideas and themes.

He started his writing career submitting fan fiction for numerous Star Wars and TransFormers fanzines, but has since moved on to writing professionally.

He published his first novel, A Wyrm In The Heart in 2004.

He lives a double life, writing classy sci-fi and fantasy for fun under his own name, and penning trashy gay erotica under the pen name of Frank Sol.

Matt lives with his partner and varying numbers of cats.
