No cover art, no description, no plot outline . . . just the first sentence of the book. I'm wondering who the adventurous readers are that don't need more to jump in and try a novel I'm confident you'll enjoy and have fun with. I've asked the publishers to price Last Fan Standing below it's eventual price for the duration of the promotion. This is a pre-release and only the e-book is available now. Here's the first sentence:
"The revolution in professional sports began with a balding referee crashing headlong into an augmented breast."
If you push the buy button, thank you! and please go to my website and join my One-Sentence Club. You'll join an elite group of risk-takers, and you'll be entered in a random drawing for prizes (T-shirts, lunch with the author, etc.).
Steven J. Siegel's first book, Surfer Girl: A Guide to the Surfing Life, written under the pen name Steven Jarrett with Sanoe Lake and published by Little Brown & Company, was selected over 200 books to win a Book of the Year award by the prestigious Children's Literature Council of Southern California. Steve trained in improvisational comedy at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater in New York City and co-created and wrote a sketch-comedy movie-hosting show for network TV. He has written and produced numerous television and radio commercials, primarily advertising television shows and other entertainment products. Steve was a play-by-play broadcaster for college basketball, football, and baseball, and is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley's Haas School of Business. Please note that Last Fan Standing is not for children.
Thank you to all that buy and read my books! And while I greatly appreciate good reviews, I'd like to ask that you please not reveal the story in your reviews, at least while the One-Sentence promotion is on.
