Steven J. Siegel's first book, Surfer Girl: A Guide to the Surfing Life, written under the pen name Steven Jarrett with Sanoe Lake and published by Little Brown & Company, was selected over 200 books to win a Book of the Year award by the prestigious Children's Literature Council of Southern California. Steve trained in improvisational comedy at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater in New York City and co-created and wrote a sketch-comedy movie-hosting show for network TV. He has written and produced numerous television and radio commercials, primarily advertising television shows and other entertainment products. Steve was a play-by-play broadcaster for college basketball, football, and baseball, and is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
