Charles A. Montorio-Archer
CHARLES A. MONTORIO-ARCHER is president and chief executive officer of One Hope United (OHU), a multi-state nonprofit that creates opportunities for children and families by providing early education, foster care, adoption, counseling, residential, behavioral health, and other support services. Previously, Charles was cofounder and chief executive officer of The Thrive Network. Charles was also an adjunct professor, School of Public Affairs, at Bernard Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY).
Charles has been a member of countless boards of directors and appointed to numerous councils and commissions throughout his career. Charles is currently commissioner for Illinois Youth Budget Commission and Illinois Commission on Poverty Elimination and Economic Security. He is also a board member of Illinois Collaboration on Youth, Chicago Alliance for Collaborative Effort, and the Florida Coalition for Children, and a member of Casey Family Programs 2020 Race Equity Improvement Collaborative.
Charles earned a doctor of philosophy, public management and leadership from Walden University, and a master of public administration from Baruch College/CUNY. He also holds a juris doctor from Brooklyn Law School. He is a Six Sigma Green and Black Belt, a Certified Health Care Compliance Professional, and a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional.
Charles is a frequent speaker and panelist for professional associations, including two Tedx Talks, and is often quoted in the media and industry publications.
