Jason Carney

Jason Carney, a poet, writer, and educator, from Dallas, Texas is a four-time National Poetry Slam Finalist. He was honored as a Legend of the Slam in 2007. Mr. Carney appeared on three seasons of the HBO television series Russell Simmons’ Def Poets. A graduate of Wilkes University MFA Program for Creative Writing.He is also Adjunct Professor of English Composition and American Literature at Brookhaven College and Parker University. Mr. Carney is a Co-Founder and Artistic Director of the non-profit Young DFW Writers. He owes everything to fireflies!
