Glenys Newton

Glenys worked with horses until becoming a mother in 1989. She thoroughly enjoyed the role of 'Mum' which led to a profound knowledge of football stickers and Ninja Turtles. She then qualified as a social worker, working in mental health and, latterly, in adoption.

When her son left home she decided to pursue her lifelong love of writing and stories. She took a leap of faith and packed in her job; sold the house and did a storytelling course. After a year of living in an old post office van with her eternally patient lurcher dog, Tom, she settled in a beautiful little cottage in North Hertfordshire.

The sharing of stories is a great tradition of our land that has been lost in recent years. Thankfully storytelling is making a comeback as people hunger for the treasures that are to be found in the listening and telling of stories. Writing is simply another way of being e to share our stories with other people.
