Dennis Doddridge

Dennis Doddridge was raised as a Protestant, attending a number of different denominations in his youth. His father, Fredrick J. Doddridge, freelanced part time as an independent minister, preaching what today would be regarded as an Evangelical perception of the Bible.

When Dennis was about twelve years old, his father decided to look for a faith that had more answers than questions. After some searching he came across the LDS Church. The idea that they could really be the restored Church of Jesus Christ intrigued him and he invited the LDS missionaries to their home. The entire family was taught the restored Gospel and baptized.

Dennis has served in many positions over the last more than fifty years in the Church, such as a full-time missionary in West Germany, as a Sunday School teacher, as a [Stake] Seventy, and in various Priesthood and auxiliary leadership positions. Dennis, now semi-retired, enjoys studying and writing, particularly about the Gospel.
