Esteban Colon (1979-) was born in Chicago, IL and is the '18 - '19 Poet Laureate Emeritus of Kenosha, Wisconsin. He links information on his current projects at https://linktr.ee/estebancolon . Raised in Chicago Heights, he spent his first thirty years working and living in Chicago's south suburbs. He was a founding member of the Waiting 4 the Bus Poetry Collective, spent five years as the Editor in Chief of Exact Change Only, and was the former cohost of the Waiting 4 the Bus poetry show. In his time there, he assisted in the creation of the Bizarro Feature night, The Poetry Pentathlon, and the international event known as The Poetry Bomb (not to be confused with Louder than a Bomb, which is much cooler). He's a Pushcart nominated poet who now lives in southern Wisconsin (K-Town), and spends the time he isn't writing, helping youth develop their leadership abilities, and reminding adults of the importance of play.
