Rachel E. Silverman (Ph.D., University of South Florida) is an Assistant Professor of Communication in the Department of Humanities and Communication at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Dr. Silverman's research focuses on the intersection of Jewish and LGBT identities in popular media, women's health, and food studies. She is the editor of The Fantasy of Reality: Critical essays on The Real Housewives and co-editor of Communicating Pregnancy Loss: Narrative as a Method for Change (Peter Lang, 2014).
