Mike Keleher

Mike Keleher is the author of numerous published articles on firearms, hunting and law enforcement and six books: Pheasant Hunting Tactics (2013),Concealed Carry Basics- Illinois Concealed Carry Training Companion (2014), Advanced Concealed Carry Tactics (2016), Concealed Carry Basics- 2017 Illinois Edition (2017), Concealed Carry- Basics and Beyond ( 2017), and Life Defense (2021). The books are available via Amazon and Lulu.com in paper and digital editions.

In addition to the six book so far, I have published somewhere between 100 and 200 articles in magazines, newspapers and online most addressing firearms, tactics, law, hunting and SCUBA diving. I have been a regular contributor on www.gunssavelife.com for four years writing about topics that catch my eye, may be illustrative, or injustices that tick me off!

Amazing to me, about one half of the books ordered are the digital editions. Two recently went to England, so I am now claiming to be "Internationally Best Selling Author"...because it is overseas, and that is the best I have ever sold!

I am a lifelong hunter and shooter and publish articles and books for my own entertainment. My wife has no idea how much money I spends on these pursuits...but she suspects it borders between "enormous" and "egregious". I have previously worked as an Assistant State's Attorney and as a Federal Agent with NCIS (yes just like on the TV show) and retired after 30 years with the agency.

As a collateral duty with NCIS I was also been a firearms and hand to hand combat instructor for over 25 years, have been a state licensed Concealed Carry Instructor, and have been a competitive shooter for many years and currently attend several national level 3-gun matches each year. I really enjoy the 3-gun matches because they are the hardest and most challenging matches... when it is hard, that is how I know it is good!
