Tony Boucher

Born 1954 in Middlesex and now living in Buckinghamshire, Tony Boucher is a successful artist, well known for his two series of paintings: 'The Hands' series and 'The Chess' series. In his late 50s, Tony swapped canvas and brushes for pen and paper, culminating in his highly acclaimed first book 'The Unfortunate Basil Albright'. Following its success, he completed his second novel, 'driver boy'. The Tukul with the Blue Door' and its sequel 'The Drowning Mary' are his third and fourth books. The humorous 'Anna and the Knight' became his fifth novel. After his post-apocalyptic novel 'Alone'. The sequel, titled 'Close', is about the rebuilding of a new society. Both 'Alone' and 'Close are also published as one book about hope and survival. His eighth novel is titled 'An Incorrect Opening', where simple moves on a chess game can have disastrous consequences elsewhere. He has just completed his latest book titled 'A King's Journey', a semi-fictional story about the journey a Lewis chess piece took from its place of origin to its present location at the National Museum Scotland. He is now penning his tenth novel titled 'The Day', which Tony describes as a thinking man's Groundhog Day. Each chapter, although the same day, develops into something more sinister.
