Hi, I'm Bruce Borders and I want to thank you for checking out my author central page. I was born in 1971 and grew up in the small town of Homer, Ga. It was a great Christian home, and my father was a Baptist preacher, which in theory should have kept me on the straight and narrow, but as it all too often happens, I spent most of my life rebelling against the positive examples my parents set before me. Somehow - due to God's providence no doubt - I managed to avoid any serious trouble in the many arenas of life. After graduating high school and a couple of years studying electronics at Lanier Technical College, I started my career as a service technician for a copier company and at no time did I ever consider being a writer. The sad fact is that I actually loathed reading anything so imagine my surprise when the Lord led me to embark on this journey. I was saved as a child but never developed a relationship with Jesus, so I gradually traveled further and further away from a Godly lifestyle. For several years I suffered bouts of depression until I finally went to God for help. It was at this time that he let me know how far I'd drifted away from him and it was time to get to know the one who saved me. He put a desire in my heart to study his word and read everything I could get my hands on, which now looking back, was preparation for several things that have happened in my life - including the writing of "The Conversation". I hope that this book helps others as much as it has helped me, and my desire is to see people led to Jesus Christ as a result.
