The soft science fiction satire “Thawing A.C. Nielsen” is Paul Carey's literary debut. The book comedically explores an intersection of the narcissistic world of reality TV with the nerdy scientific world of modern cryonics/cryogenics. He is hard at work on his next book, a bizarre sci-fi tale for lower-upper middle-grade readers, “The Grandma Apocalypse”.
In addition to writing, he continues his prolific career as a choral composer, which has led to thousands of performances of his award-winning music by choirs across six continents. He wishes that he lived on a tropical island somewhere, but in reality he resides in Oak Park, Illinois (birthplace of Ernest Hemingway and the Hostess Twinkie).
