Julie Albrecht Royce

Julie Royce, attorney, writes crime fiction, travel books, and most currently is working on a fictional biography, Ardent Spirit, about American fur trader Magdelaine LaFramboise. Ms. Royce's short stories cover the gamut from humor, to horror, to memoir, and have been included in Not Your Mother's Book...On Being a Parent and the upcoming Not Your Mother's Book...On Cats. She won honorable mention and was published in The Times They Were A-Changing: Women Remember the '60s & '70s, and had two stories and a first place winning poem in Written Across the Genres. Her short stories have been included in Voices of the Valley: First Press, Voices of the Valley: Encore, and The California Writers Club Literary Review. Ms. Royce has also had articles accepted by The Lakeshore Guardian and Michigan Blue. She and her husband, Bob, moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to be closer to children and grandchildren.
