A.A. Braatz

I graduated from Pepperdine University (2001) with a double-major in Advertising and Creative Writing. In the following years I worked in both marketing and real estate, while also writing for local newspapers (The Lake Oswego Review, The Oregonian, The Bend Bulletin). A bi-monthly real estate column in The Bend Bulletin led to my syndicated humor column with Inman Real Estate News (through 2012). In 2013, I had the pleasure of writing The Awesome Book About God For Kids with celebrated illustrator Sandy Silverthorne (published by Harvest House, August 2013). I am a member of SCBWI.

Now for the really interesting bits: I am a SYTYCD junkie (it better not EVER go off the air), love classic cars, and have never been more terrified than while watching my kids in swimming lessons. Someday I'll challenge Jimmy Fallon in a lip sync contest and I will win—I've been practicing since the third grade. My interests seem to change daily, but one thing remains the same: I am deathly afraid of grammar.
