Hello and welcome, I'm Ronald S. Craig formally and just Ron here. You will find my love for writing has produced some diverse books from crime/mystery found in my "Watson Manor Mystery Series" to include finding love and faith in "In His Time" and "Melody's Path to Grace" and for the kids, fantasy in "The Cousins Club" or how a car works in "Kye's First Car". If you are looking for a unique real car story, I suggest you take a look at "My 350 V8 Corvair". Thank you for stopping by, that personal stuff is below.
The short version; I currently live in Elverta, California, close to four of the six grandchildren my two daughters have blessed me with. I am self employed in a design and fabrication business and exploring my love for writing fiction.
The not so short version, I was born and raised in Southern California, graduated from Warren High School in Downey and then served in US Air Force during the Viet Nam war. The fiction writer in me would like to say I was the editor of my high school news paper and have been writing since middle school but this is a non-fiction piece so the truth is, I was the guy in the garage tinkering, building go carts and later working on my car. My father, I miss him dearly always said, "I was the only one he knew that could take a twenty five dollar item and make a twenty five cent toy out of it." Where can you find those precious words of praise except from mom and dad?
After four years with Uncle Sam and leaving my last duty station with a passenger in the car, I had help starting a family. Night school and some drafting courses launched my career in the engineering field. I had no choice; I couldn't waste my gift of producing twenty five cent toys. Night school became California State University of San Bernardino and a BA degree in Business. The fiction writer is pushing English Lit or Journalism now as I write this but he didn't surface until 2008, with a very rough draft of the romance novelette I titled "Call of a Dying Goose". It sat on the shelf until 2013 after I had relocated to Elverta, and then took it to novel length with the addition of mystery as "Watson Manor Eventually", the first release on March 9, 2014 in the Watson Manor romantic mystery series. I am well into "Watson Manor Unfolding" the second book in the series, Lord willing with a release in December of 2014.
