I was born in Sydney in 1980 and grew up in the surfing town of Sawtell, on the Australian east coast. When I was 17 I moved to Sydney and immediately started my writing.
As a student I wrote for the Sydney Morning Herald on "youth" issues, campaigned for Australia to become a republic, and headed my university students union.
In 2003 I moved to London, getting a job with the Blair Government at their Cabinet Office and started work on my first book, published in 2006.
For seven years from 2008 served as Spokesperson or Speechwriter at the European Commission in Brussels. I continued to write essays and book chapters and founded TheGayMarriageBlog.com which told the stories in writing and images of people in same sex marriages.
My latest book, Steelie Neelie, is available on Amazon and was published in 2014.
Since 2015 I've worked full-time for POLITICO: founding their Brussels Playbook, Davos Playbook and Global Insider franchises.
