I want to inspire everyone I meet how to grow their own food… Seriously.
Hi. I’m LaManda Joy and I teach people how to grow food and community. I live in Chicago, Illinois and spend a lot of time in Portland, Oregon, too. In between, I travel around the country teaching, speaking and inspiring people to use food gardening and cooking as a means to greater joy, better nutrition and stronger communities.
My newest book with Timber Press, Start a Community Food Garden: The Essential Handbook, was recently named one of the top lifestyle books in 2014 by Publisher's Weekly (http://bit.ly/1FR6Nya). This handy guide provides all the info your community needs to start and maintain a successful community food garden.
