M.H. Salter

MH Salter writes fast-paced fiction, and high-tension plotlines that play with imagery, metaphor, and poetic rhythm to create passages that flashbulb in the reader’s mind. She is the author of the popular Freedom Series, with the first book, Dove, being shortlisted for the Impress Prize for New Writers 2013, and receiving an Honourable Mention in the 2006 PeaceWriting Awards. Her short stories have won first prize, been published in Dark Edifice, and been Highly Commended by the Australian Community Writers Inc. Melanie holds a BA in Writing, and a Diploma of Professional Writing. With a loving husband who happily takes care of the household to allow his wife time to write, Melanie lives in Adelaide with her three children, two dogs, an army of cats, and a sheep named Harry Potter.
