James M. (Mike) McEniry is a retired Marine pilot, fighters & transports. Fighters include the F9F-5 Panther, -8 Cougar, A4D Skyhawk, and A1E Skyraider. Transports include the R5D Skymaster (DC-4), C-118 Liftmaster (DC-6) and the C-119 flying boxcar. The civilian sector ranges from the J-3 Piper Cub, all the Pipers, Cessnas and Beechcraft up to and including the Learjet 35 & 36.
McEniry's love for aviation started at age seven and the passion continued until retiring in 2009 with 7,542.5 hours. He resides in Bellevue, a suburb of Seattle with his wife Catherine and dog.
His second love is music and is still playing in the Chamber Jazz Trio, as a vibist. When not playing music we find him at the computer writing. Coming soon, "a pilot's memoir".
