Andre Simmons

My name is Andre LeDale Simmons. I was born in Washington D.C. on November 29th, 1983. A father to two beautiful children Jamari Ondrej Simmons and J’Adora Krismas Simmons. My previous written and published work includes: ‘Butterflies Hitting Home Runs’ June 9th, 2014, ‘Watermelon Seeds of Daddy’ April 14th, 2015, ‘Little Kinky Kiki’ June 21st, 2016, and 'The Fairytale Of America's Butterfly' November 29th, 2018.

On Thursday, November 29th, 2012 I turned 29 years old and it was the best birthday of my life. My children's nanny, Paula cooked me a birthday dinner. I enjoyed it by watching episodes of Inuyasha with my son Jamari and daughter J’Adora on the living-room floor. On Friday, November 30th, 2012 while I was out celebrating my birthday dinner, with my best friends Aaron and Red, that’s when God whispered in my ear “Andre it’s time for you to tell your story.” I obeyed and my writing journey began.
