Terry O'Reilly

Since retiring after forty-seven years of teaching, Terry spends his time writing, working with animal rescue groups, walking his dogs, riding/showing his champion Quarter Horse, and giving riding lessons. He also finds time to read and travel.

His interest in Native American culture stems from the fact that in tracing his heritage, he found his great-grandfather was an Illini.

When asked about his writing Terry responds, “My writing could be classified as gay romance and erotica, but what I’m really writing about are the lives of gay men, their relationships, and the challenges they face being gay in our society. My stories are romantic, but they aren’t always your typical romance formula, though many are. There is always the “happily ever after ending”, of course, but the getting there often follows paths that aren’t usual ones in the romance genre. I want my stories to make a statement about how gay relationships are viewed in our society, as well as other social issues.”
