Helen Griffiths

Helen Griffiths is an award-winning author whose novels have been read for decades by generations of readers around the world. She wrote her first story at five, won the Matthew Arnold Memorial Prize at twelve, and had her first book published at seventeen. Her debut, Horse in the Clouds, became an international success. She was commended by the Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medal Awards for The Wild Horse of Santander, received the Dutch Silver Pencil Award for Witch Fear, and was given the honorary title “Daughter of Mark Twain” for her only adult novel, The Dark Swallows. Her books have been published across Europe, the United States, and beyond. In recent years, with encouragement from her family, she has republished selected titles for Kindle and Amazon.
