Amy writes books about Yoga that are accessible, informative, and fun to read. She started studying mysticism in high school, earned a B.A. in Religious Studies and Psychology, and an M.A. in Sustainable Communities. Then anxiety hit, hard. After a few years lost to fear, panic, and obsession, Amy discovered that the physical practices of Yoga could help her balance her nervous system and stem the tide of disruptive worry. Now, she's an E-RYT 200, meaning she's an experienced registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance and has taught more than 1000 hours after earning her 200 hour certification. She also completed an 800 hour certificate in the History, Philosophy, and Literature of Yoga from Traditional Yoga Studies. Amy lives in Tucson, Arizona where she leads asana and philosophy classes at Modern Mystic Yoga Academy and teaches Yoga Philosophy for various teacher training schools. Her goal in all she does is to help people find peace.
