Chris Mitchell

Chris Mitchell's reports regularly from the front lines of Israel and other Middle Eastern Countries. He brings a Biblical and prophetic perspective to these daily news events that shape our world. Chris moved to Jerusalem in August 2000 to establish the CBN News Bureau. Since then he’s reported from the front lines of the period’s major events including the tragic rise of Christian persecution throughout the region.

Mitchell’s stories are seen on CBN’s The 700 Club on nationwide cable as well as the other CBN News programs including Christian World News. Mitchell also hosts and serves as executive producer of Jerusalem Dateline, a weekly half hour program seen in the US, England, Romania, Korea and online .

Destination Jerusalem: ISIS, Convert or Die, Christian Persecution and Preparing for the Days Ahead is Mitchell’s second book. Dateline Jerusalem: An Eyewitness Account of Prophecies Unfolding in the Middle East was published by Thomas Nelson in 2013.

A native of the Boston area, Mitchell earned a B.A. in History at the University of New Hampshire in 1975. In 1987, he graduated with honors from Regent University, earning an M.A. in Communication.
