Cary’s published works include “Kellie’s Book (with pics),” “Kibbles and Bitts,” “Why, God,” “Angels are Singing,” “Heartfelt Thanks,” “Surviving Grave Losses,” “Super 8’s Super Eight,” “The Poetic Diary,” and two children’s books “Tania’s Christmas Wishes,” and “Tania and Her Pet Whale,” which is dedicated to the memory of his daughter, under his pen name Jon Ocee.

Cary began writing at age eight while helping on a Christmas play for his local church. He continued to write songs, poetry, and short stories throughout his high school years; where inspired poems sometimes helped complete homework assignments. “I actually never had the intention of selling anything...maybe a song someday.”

An early career as a radio DJ and concentrated studies in Mass Communications and Journalism enhanced writing skills. “Inspiration comes from a variety of sources. Other books may introduce me to new writing styles. But it can be just a simple thought or a phrase said a certain way by a friend that awakens the muse. And for over 27 years, my daughter, Kellie, inspired me the most. She was always my favorite critic.”

He continues to write on his novel trilogies “One Shot,” and “Testing

Love: The 6-Hour XXX-periments,” and various screenplays, poems, and songs.

Using his nom de plume Greg Newman, his songs include “Never Gettin’ Over Me,” and “Guillotine.” With Jon Ocee, he continues in the pre-teen bracket with “Marty McAnt,” and the “Tania” series with “Tania Makes a New Friend,” and “Tania’s Next Big Adventure.”
