Francesca Albini

Francesca Albini was born in Venice, Italy, lived in London for over 30 years, and now is back by the sea in sunny Brighton. Her father was Umberto Albini, professor of Ancient Greek at the University of Genova, Italy, scholar and prolific writer and translator. She has translated fiction and non-fiction books for more than 25 years, from classics, such as Anne Bronte and Charles Dickens, to modern "eccentric" authors, such as Will Self and Kinky Friedman. She is now mainly translating children's book, fiction and non-fiction. She has co-written a number of gift books with Pinuccia Ferrari for Italian publishers.

She is currently exploring the intricacies of the self-published world with her poetry and poetical prose in English.
