I spent most of my childhood in Trinidad, West Indies with my grandparents and moved to Brooklyn, New York at age twelve to live with my parents. I currently reside in Connecticut with my two sons who I use for inspiration for my non-fiction picture books, Mom, I Fired The Babysitter; Living with Mom, Spending Time with Dad and Don't You Wish Your Momma Could Cook Like Mine?
My books are based on real life events of my two boys, Stephen and Alex and are prose in a rhyming scheme which makes it fun for reading. The end of the story also features a reading exercise for readers to consider their own similar experiences and to test their reading and listening comprehension.
