Peg Bowden (Dec. 6, 1942 - Dec. 27, 2020) grew up in Tucson, Arizona, spent her adult life in Ashland, Oregon, and returned to the Sonoran desert after retiring from a career in nursing. Living close to the US/Mexico border, she delights in the rich ethnicity and cultural traditions of southern Arizona. She also volunteers at an aid station known as "el comedor," and with organizations such as the Samaritans, and gives presentations around the country on border and humanitarian issues. Peg lives on a ranch with her husband, two dogs, a feral cat, and a lot of open range cattle. She writes about her personal experiences in the Arizona-Sonora desert, and those of the people she encounters on both sides of The Wall.
