Timothy F. Dempsey

Born and raised in New York City, Dempsey earned a Bachelor of Arts in American History from Queens College (CUNY) and a Masters in Library and Information Sciences from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He had careers in Finance, as the Business Librarian for UNC, as a Human Resources executive and as an Organization Development consultant. He has published a short story in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine and several professional journal articles. He is most proud of his family: his wife, Janis, who has been by his side for 50 years, his two children, Patrick and Colleen, his son-in-law Jeffery Payne, grandson, Silas Timothy Dempsey Payne and granddaughter Winter Maris Dempsey Payne. He is a humanist whose purpose is to help himself and others learn. With James Taylor, he believes that the secret to life is enjoying the passage of time. To that end, he and his family have settled into the Low Country of Charleston, South Carolina!
