R Chamberlain

R B Chamberlain (Bob) spent 30 years in middle management in the Aircraft Engine division of one of America's largest industrial businesses. During this time, he pursued formal education that led to a PhD in Cultural Anthropology (with a concentration in Comparative Religions) and a ThD (with a concentration in Christian Apologetics). He teaches World Religions and Cultural Anthropology at Eastern Florida State College, and has had a life-long interest in religion and theology; his particular field of interest falls within the field of New Religious Movements. Over his life-time, he has formally been a member of 3 different faith traditions, and has been baptized (or the equivalent) by 6 different traditions. Philosophically, his view of religion is that expressed by Aristotle in the opening line of his classic text, Metaphysics - "All men by nature desire to know." This means that all texts should strive to provide the reader with more information by the end than they had at the outset, for only through exploring added information can we ever hope to learn, or to know.

Bob has had a very eclectic background, and has similarly eclectic tastes. As a result, his books are not all from the same genre. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Bob and his wife settled on the Space Coast of Florida following an early retirement — after which he applied to, and was hired by, Eastern Florida State College to teach courses in World Religions, and Cultural Anthropology.

His education spans Engineering (BS), Computer Science (MS), Cultural Anthropology (PhD), and Theology (ThD). His personal tastes lie heavily within the non-fiction genre, but there are exceptions.

To date, he has published the first 3 books in a tetralogy (4 book sequence) on Christ: The Life of Christ [ISBN 978-1477552322]; The Miracles of Christ [ISBN 978-1478263654]; and, The Resurrection of Christ [ISBN 978-1479317806]. The final book in the series, The Teachings of Christ, is expected to be released in the spring of 2015.

In addition, he has authored two college textbooks currently in use: Introduction to World Religions [ISBN 978-1484891605], and Introduction to Cultural Anthropology [ISBN 978-1490392301].

His latest book (In the Shadows: Conspiracy) is a look at 22 high level assassinations with an eye to determining just how common conspiracies are [ISBN 978-1500561031]. Hint: they're far more common than most people suspect.
