(Chef) Shan Shan Chen

Shan-Shan Chen comes from a long line of restaurateurs. She is the author and creator of Mei-Mei's Lucky Birthday Noodles. Her story telling of Chinese cultural traditions through one story and one recipe at a time, is a unique story line that engages young readers to learn about a different culture and tradition.

Shan-Shan Chen lives in Northern California with her husband and two children. with her bi-racial family and like so many blended families in today's society, she is very passionate about passing down different family traditions to all children so that they can experience and learn about all the amazing unique cultures through cooking and eating.

Shan-Shan Chen has been on many television segments to show how easy, simple and inexpensive Chinese cooking can be. In her spare time she loves to cook, entertain and watch her children play sports.
