Jody Brown (J.B. Vettori) is a novelist, poet, multi-blogger, and traveler. "My first book is based on my own ironic, bizarre, and poignant life experiences. I wrote this book as a love letter to Dupont Circle, and I meant it to be read by recent graduates entering the workforce to support their 'Yes, this is the real world and it's nuts' perspective. But I find that anyone needing a push to make a change gravitates toward this book for its humor, fiery spirit, and its hope."
Its first year in print, Upside Down Kingdom was taught by Dr. John Sievers for his college course, The Art of Being Human, a Humanities course instructing the way we think about life, art, and how we treat one another. Upside Down Kingdom was required reading.
Switching directions, Jody's first children's book, sold under the name J.B. Vettori, is entitled Sully & Friends Cross the Road. Sully is the story of a snapping turtle and his journey made possible with the help of his friends.
Jody has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fiction and Poetry Writing from the University of Pittsburgh.
