Shakisha Edness

SHAKISHA SHAMAIN EDNESS, was born and partially raised in Newark New Jersey. She moved to Austell, Georgia when she was ten years of age, where she now resides. She is the eldest of her three siblings, a single mother of three children, and a grandmother of two handsome grandsons.

She has overcame many trials and tribulations, to name a few, she comes from a family of drug addicts, she witnessed her mother being verbally and physically abused by her step father, and she was raised in a dysfunctional environment.

She was a high school dropout that returned to get her G.E.D, she repeated the vicious cycle of abuse by being abused by her daughter's father. He spit in her face, stomped her while she was pregnant, and pistol whipped her. She didn't suffer with low self esteem, she had NO SELF ESTEEM at all!

She became a single mother at the age of fifteen, a welfare recipient, and basically another woman in the statistics of being no one with nothing.

Shakisha experienced her daughter running away and not seeing her for six months, Shakisha decided that SUICIDE was an option for her but she prayed and cried out to God! Through her trials and tribulations, she found her PASSION through her PAIN, and her PAIN directed her to her God's given Purpose. She is truly an inspiration to others and she gives ALL recognition to Jesus the Christ Our Lord & Savior!

Shakisha Shamain Edness, at age forty, writer, mentor, motivational speaker, and Evangelist for Christ. Speaking Truth, Changing Perception, Gaining Lives to Christ by sharing her testimonies and the Word of God.

Shakisha Edness is the CEO/Founder of TRAC-Inc., which is named after her beloved mother Tracie Edness. TRA-C, Inc. was founded in 2006. A nonprofit organization that is designed to educated and empower men, women, and children that are affected directly and indirectly by HIV/AIDS and DRUG/ALCOHOL abuse. She has mentored men in Atlanta group homes sharing her testimonies and have mentored the youth of Paulding County Public School System.

She is also the CEO/Founder of Women Overcoming Weight-loss, which has touched the lives of many women, since it was founded in 2009. She ministers to women on a daily basis through a conference call prayer line, where she has seen blessings and miracles take place in many lives.

Shakisha became an Adolescent Peer Counselor under Sandra McDonald, the Founder of Outreach, Inc. Working side by with her mother at age fifteen, sharing her story of an addict's child. Shakisha since then has pursued her career in motivational speaking, evangelizing, and writing to minister to those she may never get a chance to meet.

Shakisha is an extension of God's love without limits.
