Erma Bombeck has been my hero since childhood. From grade school humorous essays about deer to a high school humor column, I have been a humorous essayist for decades. A detour as an award winning advertising copywriter means writing has been my profession, hobby and true creative passion.

My writing includes an award-winning sitcom script and essays that have appeared in numerous publications. My parody, "50 Shades of Flannel," published (under a pseudonym) on fanfiction.net was an Entertainment Weekly editor's pick. So I'm kind of a big deal. Writing keeps me off the streets and out of the Zumba studio.

The writers who inspire me include: Erma Bombeck, Jean Kerr, Betty MacDonald, Shirley Jackson, Maud Hart Lovelace, Calvin Trillin Rosamunde Pilcher and Maeve Binchy.

I am grateful to be surrounded with positive, generous and kind creative types. I also love to clean and cleaning products. Go figure.
