Michael Fitzalan is the pseudonym of a writer born in Clapham, South London, who has been writing since the age of fifteen. The youngest of six children, Michael was educated at boarding school, the experience helping to inform three of his books: 'Harry', 'Innocent Proved Guilty' and 'Punk'. As a teenager he explored Canada and sailed in the Mediterranean, which provided the impetus for 'Waterwitch', which is a nail biting sailing adventure with storms and disasters galore.
After living in Boston, New York and Washington, he wrote 'Tainted Love' initially called 'The Taint Gallery', which became a best-selling cult novel. While working in the wine trade, he decided, to retrain as a teacher on the arrival of his first son.
While studying history and education, he came across the information that allowed him to write the book 'Gunpowder Guy' or 'Remember the Fifth of November'. Michael Fitzalan is difficult to put into a category; 'Carom' and other titles such as 'Innocent Proved Guilty' and 'Brexit 2029' pay homage to John Buchan, Ian Fleming and Meade Falkner.
Starting his working career sweeping floors for Jack Green in the Commercial Road, he became a drayman in a small brewery and worked his way to sales manager. A stint in America, Canada and, at his family home, in Ireland added to his broad life experience. A varied and full life has resulted in a wry humour and an eye for detail, which Michael Fitzalan has brought to all his books.
