Kerry Michaels

Kerry Michaels is a fine art and commercial photographer, writer, and multimedia producer based on the coast of Maine. She wrote and photographed the Art From the Garden: Create 25 Beautiful Botanical Projects (Timber Press, 2026), and was principal photographer for Growing the Northeast Garden, The Proven Winners Garden Book, and the Landscapes of Anne of Green Gables, as well as A Gateless Garden: Quotes by Maine Women Writers. Her photographs are held in both private and museum collections, and have been seen in Better Homes and Gardens, Downeast Magazine, Gardenista, Coastal Home Magazine, and Coastal Design. She was the writer and photographer for an internationally popular website on container gardening. She co-produced and co-directed the award-winning documentary film, River of Steel. Her script writing credits include Sesame Workshop, Disney, Hearst New Media, and the 20th Century with Mike Wallace. Kerry runs Flying Point Photography.
