Jeff Head

I was born in Dallas, Texas in June 1956 and my father moved us out to a ranch in 1966 where I grew up hauling hay, fixing fences, hunting, fishing, playing football for High School and learning about life from great, patriotic, Christian parents.

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1970, served a two year mission to German in 1975-1977, was married to my dear wife, Gail, in 1978, and did my schooling at BYU in Computer Aided Design and Engineering.

We had five children, three girls and two boys, and raised them as I pusued an engineerring career focused on computers and their use in design and engineering in the defense, electronics/computer, and power industries, and the last 15 years with the US Government in the US Bureau of Reclamation.

I was diagnosed with Chordoma cancer in 2009 which led to a medical retirement in 2012.

During all of this I authored several books which is why you see me on this Amazon author page. My main book is a military techno thriller about a fictional World War pitting enemies of the US against the United States and her allies...and it is a major war that the US suffers greatly during and very nearly loses. I originally wrote it as a five volume series in Trade Paper Backs. I then re-wrote the book after four years into a single, very large hard back, which includes all five volumes (and more) but costs significantly less than the combined five Trade Paper backs in a much more viable and sturdy format.

I also have a book that is non-fiction about my experiences in Klamath, Oregon, where the Federal government during the Clinton Administration sought to move farmers off of their land, using environmental judicial activism to deny them their water rights in an area of the country where irrigation water is life. We fought those decisions and ultimately prevailed, but it was quite a difficult fight and I thought documenting it would be a good thing.

Finally, I wrote a biography about my own life, due mainly to the requests of my grandchildren that I do so.

I gave a presentation to MD Anderson Cancer Center on my cancer in 2012, where they asked me to make a presentation on my condition. Here is a link to that presentation:

My central focus in life has been to find a good Christian girl to marry and love for my entire life and throughout eternity, to raise a family with several children, and then to enjoy them, their spouses, and or grandchildren.

All five of our children are now married and we have thrteen grandchildren.

I am grateful for my life, even with the cancer and difficulties to God in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ.
