Fifteen year old Skye discovers that she can communicate with a pelican named Flapper and a dolphin named Squeaky, both who become great friends of the teens. An exploding boat, a murder conspiracy, a body in a sunken hull, sharks and smugglers drive the two to discover the secrets around Islamorada. Finally, a swim across the channel to the tiny island of Indian Key could have cost the adventurous teenagers their lives, until they discovered that miracles do happen. Tom Stovall joined the U.S. Navy out of high school, went to submarine school and later became a radar operator. Prior to joining the Navy, he spent his early years diving at Silver Springs, which created his love of being on the water. He later became a self-taught sailor and has enjoyed sailing, boating and scuba diving for years, many of which were spent in the Florida Keys.
Mr. Stovall has also been published in three newspapers, In a lengthy article, he chronicled a round trip flight he and a friend made in a single-engine Cessna 182 to the Arctic Circle, and the Northern most point in the U.S., Barrow, Alaska.
After writing the story of his trip to the Arctic Circle, Tom realized that he had more stories to tell and decided to share his experiences and his wonderful imagination through his books.
