Elizabeth Emily Hicks

Elizabeth and William Hicks, both natives of Southern California, are a husband and wife team who met through a transformational workshop environment. During much personal growth together, Elizabeth, a.k.a. Elise, and William were inspired to write "Wings: The Journey Home."

They live in a beautiful coastal urban forest sanctuary called Mariners Village located in Marina del Rey, CA, which they are struggling to defend from greedy developers and L.A. County officials who want to remove over 1,000 mature trees and who obviously have never read The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. From their balcony, they can observe majestic Great Blue Herons, which nest in a 7-story mature pine tree, completely oblivious that their home is in danger—the last nesting grounds left for them in this part of L.A. Elise and William live with their needy co-dependent Ragdoll cat, Romeow, who is just as clueless as the herons.

Elise and William are both students of history, psychology, self-empowerment, metaphysics and quantum physics. Their intention is to share what they have learned in a fun and inspiring way. ‘Wings’ is their first published book. They have several more books that they have written together: “Our Experiences As Ghosts Aboard Titanic,” ‘The Workbook’ for “Wings,” and “50 Poems & Musings for Ropepullers,” which they co-wrote with their brother, Joseph Hicks.

William, being a prolific writer and artist, has a number of other books that he has written on his own.

William’s fiction series is called “Adventures with Joe,” which is composed of “What A Dream!” – Book 1, “It Lived in Our Basement” – Book 2, “Lost in the Woods” – Book 3, “The Creepies” – 4, and “The Land of Tomorrow” – Book 5.

His non-fiction series is called “What Most People Don’t Know…”, which is composed of “What Most People Don’t Know About The Bible” – Book 1, “What Most People Don’t Know About Cancer” – Book 2, “What Most People Don’t Know About Money & The Fed” – Book 3, “What Most People Don’t Know…Why Am I Here?” – Book 4, and “What Most People Don’t Know About Titanic” – Book 5.
