Born in a log cabin, deep in the Kiamichi Mountains of Southeastern Oklahoma, Erman has seen and lived through many of the events and things he writes about. His work experience includes farming, cowboying on big ranches, truck driving, oilfield, mechanic, logging in the timberlands, reserve deputy sheriff, Fire Chief, Union president, postal clerk, supervisor, branch manager, and writer. From working the land to Black Tie dinners of polite society, Erman has always been deeply interested in and observant of human nature. As a history buff his mind captures and tries to pass on in fiction form, the triumphs and disasters of the human race.
