I started making up children's stories for my nephew and niece when I was in my teens, later I did the same for my son, as he grew older then so did the subject matter I wrote about, although I do still enjoy writing bedtime stories, I now include young adult and adult only stories in my library. Not sure which I prefer, depends on how i am feeling at the time.
I live in a village in North Yorkshire with my second husband (and fellow author) Alan Lockley, we have a rescue Lurcher by the name of Larry, who is completely mad. He was a stray around two years old, when we found him at Dpgs Trust, I think that now we have had him three years he is finally out of his missing puppyhood.
The cover designs on all my books are designed by my son, who goes by the name of LordAde, a real life (albeit Scottish) Laird.
