Temkar N. Ruckmongathan

Temkar N Ruckmongathan was born in Ootacamund, Nilgiris, India. He is the inventor of multi-line addressing technique that was part of his research towards doctoral degree (Ph.D) in addressing techniques for driving matrix LCD. He is a researcher at Raman Research Institute since 1978 with short stints at Philips Heerlen, The Netherlands (Oct. 1989 to June 1991 as LCD specialist), Asahi Glass R&D center, Yokohama, Japan (Aug. 1991 to Aug. 1993 as Guest Researcher) and Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden (April 1998 to Sept. 1998 as a Visiting Professor). He is a senior member of SID and was a recipient of special recognition award of SID in the year 2009.
