Richard Norton

Richard Streeter- Norton Born in Bristol England 1943. School was a poison chalice and at fourteen his parents were advised "that this student would benefit no further from education." he spent the years 1958 to 1961 in various jobs but his main aim was to be in a "Teddy Boy" gang. He was saved from disaster by the local Police sergeant who 'advised' him to join the army. It was here his life changed as he applied to join the Parachute Regiment and to the amazement of all, especially his father, he passed P company'. This regiment and it's motto Utrinque Paratus was to change his life.
