Anna Tikvah

“Anna Tikvah” means Grace and Hope — a pen name that reflects the heart behind my writing.

I never set out to become an author. My first story lived in my mind for years before I finally tried to write it down. I knew only the beginning and the end; everything in between unfolded as I wrote. I remain deeply grateful to the many people who helped refine those early drafts — long before AI existed — offering grammar corrections, thoughtful suggestions, and encouragement that shaped the stories into what they are today.

When I began writing, my husband and I were running public Bible seminars, helping people learn how to understand Scripture for themselves — using cross references, exploring original word meanings, and listening for echoes across the Bible. The excellent questions people asked, and the thorough answers given, became the foundation for my first book, In Search of Life, and the ones that followed.

My first series follows a fictional Canadian family who suffer a painful loss and face division and conflict. They end up living through the final “Eleven Weeks” before the return of Jesus Christ. Just as his return will come unexpectedly — even for those who eagerly wait for him — the story ends with some ready and others not. Our hope was that this series would stir genuine excitement for God’s future promises and encourage readers to explore the true Gospel message through the many footnotes tied to key Bible teachings.

My second series centers on a secretly miniaturized family living inside a vast dome within a research lab. Their creator, Professor Lemans — an atheist — tries desperately to keep them safe and happy while hiding them from his suspicious colleagues. Through this imaginative setting, the series invites readers to reflect on modern questions about fairness, love, truth, evolution, and the role of the Bible in today’s world.

My latest book, Held in His Hands, was inspired by a mission trip to Africa, where my husband and I met two young men who had fled dangerous situations in the DRC and found hope and joy in a desolate refugee camp. We grew to love them and their stories, and felt compelled to share their remarkable, heart warming journeys. This book also includes extensive footnotes about God’s promises and thoughtful discussions on Satan, demons, and the source of evil.

I am profoundly grateful for God’s loving hand in my life — for the time to write, the opportunity to learn from His Word, and the experiences and conversations that have inspired these books. My desire as an author is to encourage readers to look forward with joy to the promises God has made for our world, and to understand the Bible by using Scripture to interpret Scripture. We believe His Word is inspired from beginning to end and carries one consistent Gospel message from Genesis to Revelation (2 Timothy 3:15–17).

God promises that His Word can be understood by all who take the time to ask, seek, and knock. Our prayer is that these books will encourage you to search — and to find (Matthew 7:7–8; Proverbs 25:2; Acts 17:11–12).

May our Heavenly Father be with you on your journey, wherever you are, and draw you ever closer to Him.
