Barbara Ellin Fox

Barbara Ellin Fox is an equestrian author, educator, and lifelong horsewoman whose writing is rooted in more than fifty years of experience with horses and the people who love them.

She writes clean, contemporary horse-world romance with high stakes, compelling suspense, and hard-won happily-ever-afters. Her stories feature strong heroines, compassionate men, second chances, and horses that are an authentic part of the characters' lives—not simply part of the scenery.

Barbara also writes nonfiction for riders, instructors, horse owners, and anyone who wants to become a better horseman. Drawing on a lifetime of teaching and working with horses, her educational books and resources emphasize a strong foundation in the basics and learning to understand the horse, not simply what to do with one.

A native New Yorker, Barbara now lives in Missouri with her husband and her wild mustang, Reno, close to her two daughters and granddaughters.
