RENOIR has done a lot of jobs over the years: cartoonist, security guard, tax auditor, PR consultant, snake handler, secret shopper, even a professional thug (on film, anyway).
Now he lives on Australia's east coast with his darling bride Meredith, writing. As much as possible - it's crowded inside his head!
Renoir has turned his writing skills to men's health, with "Mid-life Crisis MANagement" being inspired by his concern for blokes facing the physical and psychological issues of middle age.
His first novel - "The Wizard of Waramanga" - was originally intended as a one-off, then the first part of a trilogy. But a good story grows in the telling and now there is a whole series of "Dubious Magic" books to enjoy.
He proudly supports the work of the Australasian Order of Old Bastards - a quirkily named but successful charity which has raised over $6 million for good causes in Australia.
