I was born in Sweden and lived with my family in the Northern part - lots of mountains, long, cold winters, skiing. When I was 17, I went for a bicycle holiday in Denmark (which is a flat, small country, very suitable for biking). Along the way, I met somebody nice... so I went home, finished high school and moved to Denmark.
Being 17 is very intense. You may fall in love anywhere and make decisions that make an imprint on the rest of your life.
I studied medicine, worked for 7 months in DR Congo during my study years, became a doctor an then a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics. Married, had three children. Did research mostly on hormones, worked in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Dubai. Divorced and married again.
In 2012, I wrote a book in Danish about the sex life of the older generation. There has been great interest about the book, so it's now translated, slightly edited and published in English. Book number two is on its way and I have cut down on the hospital work, but teach and give talks, mostly on hormones and sexuality.
My husband Povl Christian and I live in a beautiful area of Denmark with our dog Emma.
