Cecilia (Kat) Payne-Kaelin, born in Western Kentucky, polished my skills by earning a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing with a concentration in English Literature. I started writing when I was eight years old and have worked as a freelancer since 1980. I love reading and writing nearly every genre of books.
I founded the first writers club in Western Kentucky in 1980, the Western Kentucky Creative Writers Club, was honored by a national publication with an article called "Portrait of a Writer" in 1980, contracted for a short story in "Faith & Inspiration" New York 1980 (circulation over 3 million). I contracted for an article in "Road King Magazine" in 1985. I joined the National Writers Club in 1986, becoming a full member the same year. Additionally, I contracted for two books in 2008, one in New York. Contacted by Eber & Wein Publishing, Verses, and Visions: ISBN 978-1-60880-008-7 published [Tribute to the Carpenter] (Poem), July 2009. I was invited by Eber & Wein Publishing to write a poem to include in their upcoming book of poetry titled "Outstanding Poets of 2010." I've outsourced through oDesk/Upwork from 2010 to the present.
I'm a Veteran of the US Army.
