Carole's first three books TravelWorks, HomeWorks and Oh, and Another Thing are all memoirs on different themes. These stories and reflections offer a light hearted read of her travel diaries, unique adventures and unusual insights into places she has visited during her work life. Siberia, the Palestinian Occupied Territories, the Far East and much of Europe are included, as well as many parts of the UK.
She has also published four novels: The Enduring Curiosity of Mitsy Howard - A Walk in the Mill; Mitsy Howard - In the Dark- and What Mitsy Did Next. The trilogy is available as the Complete Mitsy Howard. All are based in a care home and follow the adventures of Mitsy and friends.
14 Viney Hill, is set in the future. The main character Jane Bonneville, had a rocky start in life but at the point when the narrative begins she thought she had everything sorted. A gorgeous husband, and a safe, loving and stable home for their children. Totally opposite to her own childhood. It was all going rather well until her world turned upside down one Friday in March. It is entirely fictional, probably....
She has lived in South West London, Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire, Harrogate in North Yorkshire and currently resides with her husband in the Forest of Dean.
