Frank Roberts - Born Rahway, NJ 1947

Growing up the youngest of five children in my family's 3rd generation Hardware business in the 1950's and 60's, it layed the foundation for my lifelong love of local history and old buildings. My personal library is filled with American History books mixed with my other true interest, ghost stories.

Over the years I have learned that many real, everyday people have had brief ghostly encounters in their everyday lives. The vast majority of ghostly encounters only happens once to a person and then never reoccurs. Very often social pressures of believing in the existence of ghosts will ebb away at the strong belief the person once held and these stories tend to slip away and never get told. As a novice storyteller and a collector of ghostly tales, I hope to reverse that trend by shedding light upon them. While some of these experiences may be brief and fleeting, they can still be frightening and quite chilling when they happen to you.

There is the old axiom that states that when writing, you should always write about what you know. Just as historical events effect people's lives... old buildings and the paranormal can also effect history. It is no mystery that true stories are always the best, but even when writing fiction, the closer to the truth the story can be, the better the story is. Hopefully when you read the stories I have collected over the years, you will find it hard to separate the fiction from the truth, especially if you believe in spirits and love old buildings.
